Software Engineer, Payments

Description

The company is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses, used by millions of companies, from large enterprises to early-stage startups, to take payments, grow revenue and open new business channels.

The Global Payments Experiences group brings new payment methods to the platform and makes sure it works well for merchants worldwide. The team works with internal and external partners to add regional non-card payment options and widen global use of the company's payment processing.

This Sao Paulo-based team works alongside platform teams in the US and Europe and sister teams around the world. The team builds and maintains new payment methods with a focus on LATAM and North America, handles local market differences, becomes the regional expert other teams depend on, and works with non-engineering functions to extend global reach and the product range.

Responsibilities

• Design integrations that are simple for end users and easy for developers to use.
• Build back-end services and integrations for the company's payment products.
• Work with external partners to shape and build technical solutions.
• Talk directly with users to learn their business needs and turn them into concrete solutions.
• Work with product, partnerships, engineering platforms and other engineering teams to ship these solutions.
• Contribute to software platforms used across payments at the company.

Requirements

• You need at least 2 years of backend engineering experience.
• You need strong written and spoken English.
• You have worked across geographies.
• You have built extensible, leveraged software that scales to different types of users, and you can understand users' needs and push for excellent user experiences.
• Preferred, not required: experience in payments or payments technology.
• Preferred, not required: experience using the company products.

Conditions

The role is based in Sao Paulo, with the team working across regions.
