Software Engineer, FlashBlade

The company is publicly listed on the NYSE and moved from storage hardware into a data platform business. It closed fiscal 2026 with $3.7 billion in revenue, including its first quarter above $1 billion, and expects growth to keep accelerating into FY27.

Its customer focus covers hyperscalers, AI labs, AI hardware suppliers, data platform providers, and the wider AI market.

This role is on the FlashBlade engineering team in Prague, which builds backend services for a high-performance distributed storage platform.

Responsibilities

• Own production backend systems that keep the platform reliable, scalable, and well orchestrated for customers worldwide.
• Work through hard distributed-systems problems with engineers in Prague and the US.
• Design and build scalable backend services and platform components that improve orchestration and resilience.
• Build and run distributed systems that stay stable under heavy concurrency, large scale, and failure conditions, so customers stay reliably served.
• Define clean, stable APIs and evolve service interfaces so developers have a smooth experience and the code stays maintainable over time.
• Work with engineering and product teams in several offices to take infrastructure projects from design through production support and quality work.

Requirements

• Proven experience building and deploying backend or system-level components in production.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or another object-oriented language, and a real willingness to become strong in Go as your main language.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and scalable service design, enough to assess and solve infrastructure problems of varying scope on your own.
• Strong skills in debugging, API design, and problem-solving, plus clear communication across international teams.
