This graduate role sits on a team that builds the software behind data storage and management.

Responsibilities

• Work on problems across the stack, from low-level hardware to large cloud systems, using the fundamentals you have learned.
• Own tasks through the full development cycle, including idea shaping, design, coding, and testing, on core product features.
• Investigate and build solutions that make data more efficient, such as improving deduplication and space reclamation or replication over wide-area networks.
• Help improve software performance so it keeps scaling as data volumes and hardware capabilities grow.
• Work alongside senior engineers and other teams to ship new features and keep code quality high through broad automated testing.

Requirements

• Solid grounding in data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and software design, and the ability to apply them to real engineering work.
• Working knowledge of C++, with the ability to write clean, efficient, well-organised code.
• A self-driven approach to spotting and solving hard problems, aiming for high-quality results that matter.
• Clear communication of complex technical ideas, and effective teamwork in a shared open-plan office.

Conditions

The role is mainly on-site at the Santa Clara, CA office, following company policy, with exceptions for PTO, work travel, and other approved leave.

Base pay is set by role, level, and location; where a role is open in several locations, the range reflects the job market across those locations.

The annual base salary range is $122,000 - $183,000 USD.

The role may also be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
