Responsibilities

• Own large-scope projects end to end, from early discovery through launch, with attention to outcomes and customer impact.
• Work with a cross-functional team to solve customer problems.
• Improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of existing systems.
• Lead technically, share knowledge, and mentor others to raise engineering quality.
• Add features to the high-volume, fault-tolerant processing infrastructure.
• Improve testing, monitoring, and continuous deployment infrastructure.
• Keep highly sensitive data separated and secure.

• Have at least 4 years of professional development experience.
• Be proficient in a server-side language such as Python, Java, Node.js, or Ruby. Go experience is a plus.
• Have solid SQL skills and a working knowledge of database fundamentals.
• Have basic deployment and monitoring experience on cloud platforms, AWS preferred.
• Be willing to help junior developers and share knowledge with the team.
• Have experience working with designers and product managers on features.
• Technologies used: Golang, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, MySQL, Kafka, AWS, Git, Memcache, Redis, ElasticSearch, Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, CircleCI, DataDog.

Conditions

The base pay range for this role at the New York City office is targeted at $131,000 to $169,000 per year.

Actual pay depends on factors such as skills, relevant experience, and work location. Ranges in other locations may differ based on local labor costs.

This is a hybrid role.
