Description

This principal-level software engineering role works on mission-critical government projects.

Responsibilities

• Build access controls and permission mechanisms that protect critical HPC system resources.
• Manage permissions carefully so access to those resources stays tightly controlled.
• Keep this work aligned with the agency's security policies and industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree.
• 8+ years of related experience.
• You must currently hold a Top Secret SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• US citizenship.
• Hands-on work with the Linux command line.
• Scripting in Bash to automate tasks and processes.
• Python software development.
• RBAC and ABAC implementation for HPC systems.
• Advanced Linux security administration: PAM, SELinux, file permissions, ACLs and audit logging.
• Building IAM solutions with Keycloak.
• Identity federation and single sign-on using SAML, OIDC and OAuth2.
• Building and maintaining secret management integrations with HashiCorp Vault.
• Writing Ansible playbooks that automate provisioning of HPC hardware and software.
• Containerization with Docker, Podman or containerd.
• CI/CD practices and tools, including GitLab CI.
• Git source control.
• Desired: experience with the Atlassian suite, including JIRA and Confluence.
• Desired: familiarity with Agile, Scrum or SAFe methods.

Conditions

Onsite in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, USA.

40 scheduled hours per week with no travel required.

Regular requisition.

The likely salary range is $175,950 to $238,050. This is not a guarantee. Pay is set by experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements, and may fall outside this range.
