ServiceNow Technical Consultant

Description

You will join the company as a ServiceNow technical consultant to design, configure, and implement solutions that turn business needs into sturdy, scalable technical configurations.

You decide when standard configuration is enough and when tailored customization is needed, based on ServiceNow best practice.

Besides hands-on delivery, you coach less experienced colleagues and point out risks, dependencies, and possible improvements in your area.

The company is an AI-driven tech consultancy with over 11,000 specialists across 25 countries in Europe and the Middle East. Its Dutch office has about 300 specialists focused on Cloud, Cyber, Data, and AI. It works with partners including Google, Microsoft, AWS, and ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Build and configure ServiceNow solutions to meet business and functional requirements
• Turn business needs into scalable technical configurations and detailed designs
• Create custom platform features when needed, applying ServiceNow best practice and coding standards
• Build integrations with third-party systems using REST, SOAP, and file-based transfers
• Document your work and test customizations thoroughly, including unit tests and structured test approaches
• Coach junior colleagues on technical and functional topics
• Spot risks, dependencies, and improvement options within your scope
• Help with platform upgrades and ongoing application maintenance

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on ServiceNow configuration and development experience
• Solid understanding of ServiceNow administration, App Engine, and customization practices
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, Glide API, business rules, script includes, and UI policies
• Proven unit testing experience and familiarity with structured testing approaches
• Able to work with both out-of-the-box setups and tailored customizations
• Fluent in Dutch and English, with clear communication for technical and non-technical stakeholders
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required
• Customer-focused and driven by quality

• Experience with Service Portal, Employee Center, and Agent Workspace
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)
• Experience with greenfield implementations built from scratch
• Familiarity with middleware such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or Kafka
• Experience with AI on the ServiceNow platform, such as Now Assist or Control Tower, is a plus, if you can show concrete examples
