Description

The lab at the company focuses on networking solutions and needs a solutions architect to design and build complex data center systems.

You will help shape architecture, hardware and software rollouts, performance tuning, and return on investment analysis, and you will work alongside software developers and architects to study new technologies.

The role needs practical, hands-on work with data center platforms: operating systems, virtualization and containers, storage, networking, and infrastructure as code tools such as Ansible. You will need to work well alone and in a team in a multidisciplinary, changing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Build modern, end-to-end data center solutions from design through to delivery.
  • Design, build, deploy, and automate systems, then analyze results, write up findings, and publish summary reports.
  • Write and publish reference deployment guides and step-by-step how-to tutorials.
  • Help business units deliver complex solutions through consulting, solution design, proofs of concept, and similar work.
  • Track technology trends and set out best practices for integrating the company's products and technologies.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in an exact science or higher, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 8 years of hands-on field work as a solution engineer, solution architect, or senior DevOps engineer.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing complex data center solutions.
  • Deep experience with Linux, Kubernetes, Docker containers, and QEMU/KVM virtualization.
  • A working understanding of networking layers and services, including L2/L3, TCP/IP, firewalls, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Ways to stand out: experience with distributed systems and system analysis, modern big data frameworks, and AI/ML frameworks and use cases.
  • Ways to stand out: a strong sense of personal ownership, and the ability to prioritize and finish tasks well in a fast-moving environment where priorities often shift.
  • Ways to stand out: excellent communication skills in Hebrew and English, both spoken and written.
  • Ways to stand out: fast ramp-up, quick learning, high motivation, and independent, effective troubleshooting and problem solving.
