Senior Software Engineer -

Description

You will be a senior data engineer building enterprise-grade data pipelines with Python, SQL and Snowflake, and you will need working knowledge of cloud infrastructure, data warehousing, workflow orchestration, CI/CD and DevSecOps.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, validate, secure, optimize and maintain enterprise data pipelines.
• Lead work that raises pipeline quality, performance and reliability across the organization.
• Set best practices, coding standards and software architecture at organizational level.
• Tackle technical problems of varying scope, rethink existing solutions, and choose between feasible options through analysis.
• Reduce cost and improve performance in Snowflake, Azure and Docker.
• Build and expand CI/CD workflows using Azure, GitHub, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Work with product, architecture, project managers, operations and other stakeholders from requirements through client enablement.
• Apply and enforce DevSecOps practices, including secrets management, SAST and DAST.
• Mentor junior engineers and support less experienced colleagues.
• Lead design reviews, code reviews and roadmap discussions.
• Run proof-of-concept projects when direction or requirements are unclear.
• Bring AI tools into every stage of the software development lifecycle.
• Make technical decisions with attention to business impact, cost-efficiency and long-term sustainability.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience, ideally in platform engineering building pipelines that connect upstream and downstream systems.
• Deep expertise in Python, SQL and Snowflake.
• Strong record of building data pipelines at enterprise scale, including designing, deploying and refactoring them.
• Experience defining and evolving technical strategy for large distributed systems.
• Ability to balance short-term delivery with long-term scalability and maintainability.
• Strong relational database skills, particularly in Snowflake.
• Strong working knowledge of Azure and Docker within modern cloud ecosystems.
• Strong DevSecOps background, including pipelines, quality gates and tools for code coverage, testing, SAST and DAST.
• Track record of resolving cross-team challenges through open and constructive conversation.
