Description

The company builds accelerated computing systems and the AI infrastructure that runs on them. The team is hiring a senior engineer to design and build reliable software for these systems.

You will tackle hard technical problems, weigh in on architecture, improve how the team engineers software, and work with partners across the company.

The team wants people who spot worthwhile opportunities, reason rigorously about problems, and keep delivering results in a fast-moving setting.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain software that brings together hardware, software, workload, and deployment assumptions to assess data center power, total cost of ownership, and performance trade-offs.
  • Prototype and evaluate design options, and fold in feedback from stakeholders.
  • Raise engineering quality through solid testing, regression coverage, and day-to-day operational practices.
  • Work with other teams to set clear interfaces that let everyone move faster.
  • Get hands-on with difficult technical problems, and help diagnose and fix issues.
  • Take part in design and code reviews, share what you know, and help teammates pick up good software and engineering habits.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, applied mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience with Python or another modern programming language.
  • Experience building and maintaining technical software, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly, work well in a changing environment, and adopt new technologies and methods.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
  • An MS or PhD is preferred.
  • Nice to have: comfort with ambiguous problems, learning from source code and primary papers, prototyping quickly, and changing course based on evidence.
  • Nice to have: background in performance analysis, executive dashboards, or quantitative modeling for accelerated systems. Experience close to hardware or at large scale is a plus.
  • Nice to have: a record of turning real-world inputs into structured, reliable software.
  • Nice to have: experience helping teammates learn and adopt new technologies while still delivering.
  • Nice to have: good judgment about how systems are built, and willingness to revise your views as new information comes in.

Conditions
