Description

The company makes a leading family location app, tracking devices for people and things, and a pet GPS tracker. Features include location sharing, safe driver reports, and crash detection with emergency dispatch.

The company has about 102.4 million monthly active users in more than 180 countries as of June 30, 2026, and over 500 employees, many of whom are still growing the team.

The company is remote first, so remote work is the default. Unless noted otherwise, roles can be done from anywhere in the US or Canada, whatever location is listed.

This is an AI native team, where AI is part of how software is built and run.

You will be a Senior Software Engineer II and an AI builder with strong iOS skills. You own problems and solutions, set your own roadmap, and do not wait for requirements. You find worthwhile investments, pitch them, and build them, with a product manager who reviews proposals and keeps the work aimed at the Global Monetization team's goals.

Global Monetization builds the pricing, packaging, payments, and market-specific premium features that will grow revenue in markets outside the US.

The work centres on ownership and quality. You will add premium features while keeping existing ones fast, reliable, and worth their price. The team runs experiments on paywalls, pricing, ad placement, and mediation so decisions rest on evidence. Experiments guide what to build, but they are not the whole job.

You will take an idea from a rough proposal to a shipped purchase experience that serves over 100M+ monthly active users, and keep current experiences reliable as the company enters new regions.

International revenue is a growth priority. Each new market brings pricing, payment, and compliance edge cases that must work from day one.

In your first year, success means proposing and shipping several features or experiments that grow global revenue or improve existing purchase experiences, and seeing at least one AI-native workflow you introduced adopted beyond the team.

Responsibilities

  • Build the surfaces that carry market-specific pricing, packaging, and positioning, including paywalls, plan selection, upsell and upgrade flows, and one-time purchases, localised and tested across storefronts and currencies.
  • Work with product managers to shape the roadmap by bringing proposals and helping write specs.
  • Turn rough ideas into a clickable prototype before the spec is final, so the team reacts to something real, using AI tools to do it in hours rather than weeks.
  • Work with product, design, data science, and analytics, and with finance and legal when pricing, payments, or regional rules require it.
  • Run staged rollouts end to end: ramp exposure, watch guardrails, and decide whether to hold, roll back, or scale.
  • Ship polished, fast, reliable experiences, paying close attention to launch time, memory, battery, hangs, and crash-free rates.
  • Shape architectural decisions, review code, and build a culture of craft and continuous improvement across the mobile codebases.
  • Mentor engineers and help shape team processes, technical standards, and the team's AI-native engineering practices.

Requirements

  • Required: 6+ years of iOS software engineering experience shipping production apps at consumer scale.
  • Required: You have owned a problem from choosing what to build through to production, using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex daily, and can point to the result.
  • Required: Experience with in-app purchases and subscription platforms, including entitlements, receipt and transaction validation, refunds, and restores.
  • Required: Experience shipping to many App Store storefronts, handling regional pricing, localisation, and differences in payment regulation.
  • Required: Strong Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit skills, and solid knowledge of the modern iOS toolchain, including Xcode, Swift Concurrency (async/await and actors), and Combine.
  • Required: Experience with iOS architecture such as MVVM, TCA, Clean Architecture, and Swift Package Manager modularisation in a large codebase with several teams.
  • Required: Comfort with mobile experimentation, including feature flags, A/B tests, exposure logging, holdouts, and guardrail metrics.
  • Required: Solid grasp of mobile performance and diagnostics for memory, battery, hangs, and crashes, using tools such as Instruments, MetricKit, Xcode Organizer, Crashlytics, or equivalent.
  • Required: Experience with iOS CI/CD such as Fastlane, Xcode Cloud, GitHub Actions, or Bitrise, and with App Store Connect release management.
  • Required: Ability to explain technical trade-offs clearly to product, design, and non-engineering partners.
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Nice-to-have: Background in mobile analytics pipelines such as Amplitude, Segment, or Snowflake and Databricks downstream.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with an experimentation platform such as Statsig, LaunchDarkly, Optimizely, Eppo, GrowthBook, or similar.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with mobile ad SDKs and mediation such as AdMob, AppLovin MAX, or similar.
  • Nice-to-have: Contributions to mobile open source or internal developer tooling.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with AI-assisted Android development.
  • AI-native expectations: use AI coding tools daily for real work, including analysis, coding, refactoring, testing, navigating codebases, and documentation, not just research or autocomplete.
  • AI-native expectations: review AI-generated code as you would any pull request, and stay accountable for everything you ship.
  • AI-native expectations: use AI well enough to take on problems that would otherwise need a larger team.
  • AI-native expectations: share what works, build prompting strategies others can reuse, and help teammates newer to AI workflows get up to speed.
  • AI-native expectations: keep up with fast-changing tools and recommend changes that would meaningfully improve how the team works.
