The company makes a mobile app for families and tracking devices, and as of June 30, 2026, about 102.4 million monthly users in more than 180 countries use it. It has over 500 employees and works remote-first.
Most roles can be done remotely from anywhere in the US or Canada unless the posting says otherwise.
The company builds AI into how it develops and runs its products. Interview formats differ by role: you may be asked to show AI tool skills, explain how you use AI, or complete exercises without AI. Your recruiter will explain what is expected at each stage. Using AI in ways your recruiter has not discussed or approved may affect your application.
The Revenue Experimentation team, part of the Direct Revenue group, runs fast experiments across ads, subscriptions and one-time purchases, including pricing, paywalls, ad placement and mediation, and upgrade flows. Its results shape revenue from nearly 100 million members.
The team is product-minded and treats AI as a core collaborator from ideas through to iteration, which lets it ship faster. It wants someone who will help set how this works at scale.
This is a senior Android engineer role at the center of how the team delivers experiments in the app.
You will turn a hypothesis into a live, carefully instrumented experiment. The hypothesis may be a detailed brief or a loose idea from chat or a data finding. You start building rather than waiting for a full spec or sign-off, and you run tests at a fast pace.
The role is Android-first, but work across iOS, web or backend is welcome when an experiment needs it.
In your first year, success means owning delivery across several experiment surfaces at once, and seeing at least one AI workflow you introduced adopted beyond the team.
Responsibilities
Build high-quality Android growth and monetization features and experiments, such as subscription paywalls, pricing tests, ad placement and mediation, one-time purchase flows, and upsell or upgrade screens. Run dozens of tests at once across the app.
Own staged rollouts: increase exposure, watch guardrails, and decide whether to hold, roll back, or scale to 100%.
Ship polished, fast, stable Android experiences to tens of millions of users, watching startup time, memory, battery, ANR and crash-free rates.
Instrument experiments, including exposure logging and analytics, so downstream teams can trust the results.
Work with product, design, data science and analytics to turn hypotheses into shippable experiments, act on results, and push back when a hypothesis or plan is weak.
Use Claude Code or an equivalent as your main workflow, directing agents to draft specs, write code and tests, verify results and review changes.
Help define AI-native Android engineering practices and playbooks the wider mobile organization can adopt.
Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews and quality on the Android codebase.
Join the on-call rotation and incident response for experiments and releases.
Mentor engineers and help shape team processes and technical standards.
Requirements
6+ years of Android engineering, including production apps at consumer scale.
At least 1 year of hands-on work prompting, evaluating and building with LLMs.
Strong Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, plus the Android View system, with working knowledge of Android Studio, Kotlin Coroutines and Flow.
Experience with architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, Jetpack ViewModel and Navigation, and Hilt or Dagger, in a large multi-team codebase.
Understanding of experimentation: feature flags, A/B testing, exposure logging, holdouts and guardrail metrics.
Solid skills in diagnosing performance, memory, battery, ANR and crashes using tools such as Android Studio Profiler, Perfetto, Systrace, Macrobenchmark and Crashlytics or similar.
Experience with Android CI/CD (Gradle, Fastlane, GitHub Actions, Bitrise or similar) and modular build systems.
Skill with agentic workflows, prompt engineering, context-window management, and MCP or function calling. You follow a research, plan, implement cycle and do not hand off your thinking to agents.
A bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
You take initiative: you decide when you are close to the problem, escalate when you are not, and own the outcome either way.
You own work from design through production, including when an experiment does not go to plan.
You have clear opinions on what makes a good experiment, rollout and user experience, and can explain why.
You structure problems precisely, learn quickly, and are curious beyond your own area.
You use AI tools as a real partner: you delegate discrete tasks, review output critically, and run parallel workstreams.
You communicate clearly, work well across teams, and give and receive feedback well.
Values alignment and problem-solving ability matter more than ticking every technical box. The company will help you grow into areas where you have less experience.
Daily use of AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor or GitHub Copilot for real work: analysis, coding, refactoring, testing, navigating codebases and documentation. You are accountable for AI-generated code the same way you are for any pull request.
Help teammates adopt AI workflows, share what works, and keep up with fast-changing tools.
Nice-to-Have: experience with an experimentation platform such as Statsig, LaunchDarkly, Optimizely, Eppo or GrowthBook.
Nice-to-Have: background in mobile analytics pipelines, such as Amplitude, Segment, or Snowflake or Databricks downstream.
Nice-to-Have: knowledge of Bayesian or sequential testing and how they affect client-side implementation.
Nice-to-Have: work on subscription, paywall, pricing or onboarding surfaces at consumer scale.
Nice-to-Have: deep experience in Kotlin/Android, Swift or React, and comfort shipping in another.
Nice-to-Have: contributions to mobile open source or internal developer tooling.
