Description

The company builds technology for moving and managing money across borders for individuals and businesses.

The team is relatively new but sits within the Regional Platform Squad, one of the company's longest-running squads.

The squad builds the platform behind the core Transfer, Payout and Partner Integrations domains and helps product teams extend it into new products and markets.

The team's goal is to determine accurately which products and features each customer can use.

To do that, the company needs a precise picture of where its customers live or run their business.

The team's first major project is reworking how customer residence, current location and address are collected and checked.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical direction for the team's domain as part of an autonomous team.
  • Build and improve platform services, back office tooling, and occasionally customer-facing flows.
  • Help scale the platform and contribute to building a leading transfer product.
  • Work in an agile way, collaborating closely with the product manager and the analyst.

Requirements

  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including query optimisation and schema design.
  • A strong product mindset focused on customer experience, putting customers first and using data to fix their pain points.
  • Enjoy collaborating and bringing people together around a problem.
  • Experience designing, deploying and maintaining clean RESTful APIs.
  • Commitment to good coding practice, code reviews and open feedback.
  • Enjoy writing testable code and practise Test Driven Development.
  • Experience working with large scale distributed systems.
  • You do not need every skill listed. The company welcomes people who have some of them and are keen to learn the rest.

Conditions

Must already be based in the UK or able to work from the UK, as the company does not support relocation for this role.

Hybrid working, with the team spread across the London and Cherkasy offices.

The company welcomes applicants from every background and values diverse, inclusive teams.

Benefits

  • Starting salary of £87,500 to £111,000.
  • Benefits are described separately by the company.
