Description

The team builds document intelligence features for the company's submission products, which support millions of interactions each year between researchers, editors, reviewers and publishers.

The team combines data science models and LLMs to turn complex, unstructured documents into structured, reliable, reusable data that submission and editorial tools can act on.

This is a senior software engineering role building services for document transformation, metadata extraction, content enrichment and entity recognition across scientific content at scale.

The work sits where software engineering, data engineering and AI meet, on problems involving millions of research documents.

The stack includes AWS, event-driven architecture, microservices, data science and AI/LLM capabilities, aimed at reliable, secure and highly scalable services.

Projects range from automating manual editorial steps to content discovery and new AI-driven features across the submission portfolio.
