Description

The role gives broad technical and business support to the risk and control team on data governance, data accuracy and accessibility, complex analysis, report development, risk and control data governance, and technical support for risk processes.

You will work largely on your own, and most decisions sit with you without needing approval from higher levels.

You will make the final call, pick the best option that meets company policy, put it in place, and brief senior stakeholders. The same applies to new solutions, technologies and systems.

You will drive the use of technology to reduce risk more effectively or strengthen controls, and encourage team members to use technology to solve problems.

The role combines hands-on technical work with business knowledge of accounting, finance and controlling.

The company is a global biopharma business focused on respiratory, immunology and inflammation, oncology, HIV and infectious diseases.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build analytical solutions that show risks across key business processes.
  • Act as the link between technology teams and risk business users, turning business needs into digital solutions and explaining the technical side in plain terms.
  • Extract and analyse data from many different sources and build standard reports that operational staff can take over for continuous control monitoring.
  • Build and maintain the data repository, reporting and technical environments the team relies on.
  • Keep documentation and training up to date on how reports, metrics and insights are produced.
  • Produce regular reports, including those on value measures and voice of customer for the service agreement.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports for service lines when they ask, to support service improvement and transformation.
  • Deliver accurate, timely reporting and analytics across the complex risk and compliance organisation, meeting company and legal ethics standards.
  • Run analytics that give insight into the risk and control environment in Global Finance and inform decisions on the adequacy of the control framework.
  • Join special projects that need data analysis and risk assessment skills, such as root cause analysis.
  • Interpret internal and external data clearly and with insight.
  • Work with Process Operations teams worldwide and Global Process Owners to identify stakeholder needs and report trends in process gaps and risks.
  • Build relationships with ERP and other technology and business teams so data mining and analytics run regularly.
  • Guide risk managers on their digital solutions, data use, analysis and proofs of concept.
  • Take part in internal and external benchmarking and cross-functional or matrixed projects that reduce risk or add controls to key processes or systems.

Requirements

  • Azure certifications.
  • SAP certifications.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow data structure and reporting.
  • Experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, MS SQL and Azure Data Studio, or similar tools.
  • Experience developing in Power BI (DAX), administering Power BI workspaces and using Power Automate.
  • Experience with the MS suite, including Office, SharePoint and Teams.
  • Experience developing machine learning or AI solutions, including knowledge of the relevant resources, concepts and libraries.
  • Experience using GitHub.
  • Basic financial and accounting knowledge, including concepts, terminology and processes.
  • SAP FI/CO knowledge, including tables, table structures, t-codes, background jobs, scripting and concepts.
  • Basic experience with.js and JSON.
  • Understanding of Azure architecture design, concepts and tools.
  • Understanding of risk management and controls in finance.
  • Skills in algorithms, data assessment, data cleansing, data preprocessing, exploratory data analysis, hypothesis testing, mathematical modelling, model evaluation, predictive modelling, probabilistic modelling, reliability engineering, statistical analysis techniques and statistical significance testing.
  • Knowledge of SAP transaction codes, relationships and data model is essential, as is hands-on expertise in SAP, Blackline and Ariba as primary sources of financial, risk and controlling data.

Conditions

The annual gross base salary for new hires is PLN 225,750 to PLN 376,250.

The role may also include an annual bonus, and eligibility for the share-based long-term incentive plan depends on the level of the role.
