  • Be an expert in one specific area and able to become the go-to person for a team with varied backgrounds.
  • Have hands-on experience with experimental computer architecture research and with building and evaluating software infrastructure.
  • Have a record of releasing well-documented open-source software.
  • Be deeply knowledgeable in I/O system software, I/O system architecture, and GPU architecture.
  • Be proficient in CUDA, C, C++, Python, and scripting languages.
  • Have experience programming large-scale clusters and using profiling and system performance analysis tools.
  • Be able to work with emerging workloads such as recommender systems, graph analytics, and data frames.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills.
  • A strong record of publications, patents, presentations, and research collaboration is a huge advantage.
