Senior Research Scientist - AI Security

Description

The agentic cybersecurity research team at the company is hiring an AI security researcher to help protect AI models, systems and infrastructure.

The team's work in security and AI is visible across the industry. The role centres on hands-on research into safety and security for AI agents, and on building technology that uses AI to secure systems.

Responsibilities

• Run original research where cybersecurity and AI meet, covering both using models and agents for defense and making models and agents secure.
• Explore new problems in AI and security, helping make AI safe and systems secure.
• Build tools and workflows that find and fix weaknesses in conventional and AI systems.
• Publish findings in peer-reviewed venues or share them with security, machine learning and business audiences.
• Share results with other teams across the company and apply your work to problems in varied settings.

Requirements

• Hold a Master's or PhD in computer science, computer engineering, data science or a related field, or have equivalent experience.
• Have 5+ years of experience in machine learning, cybersecurity or a closely related field.
• Demonstrate skill in programming.
• Have deep knowledge of weaknesses in AI and conventional software, and how to mitigate them.
• Understand generative AI workflows in depth.
• Be a self-starter who wants to grow, keeps learning and shares what you find.
• Stay motivated and curious about new technologies.
• Explain complex technical material clearly.

Conditions

Base salary depends on location, experience and the pay of employees in similar positions.

Base salary range: 168,000 USD to 264,500 USD for Level 3, and 192,000 USD to 304,750 USD for Level 4.
