Description

The team builds the APIs, frameworks, and data standards behind Agent Ready Tools, which serve first-party and third-party agents within the HCM and WFM Engineering organization of a Fortune 500 company that makes an AI platform for managing people, money, and agents.

The team makes company data accessible and buildable across teams at scale through Data Cloud, Headless Consumption, and the company Build. Good fit if you care about data access, developer experience, and tools other teams use daily.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will own key parts of the roadmap for the API platform and data standards. You will work with engineering, product, and business teams to set clear priorities and turn strategy into action, take on ambiguous, higher-impact problems, and help set direction for other product managers and engineers.

Pay ranges: primary location USA.CA.Pleasanton $168,000 USD - $252,000 USD; additional US locations $140,600 USD - $252,000 USD. Base pay varies by location and each offer depends on geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need. The role may be eligible for the company Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission or bonus, plus annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during hiring.

  • Work with engineering to guide iterative delivery, validation, and testing.

  • API design and standards: working knowledge of REST, GraphQL, gRPC, and event-driven designs such as Webhooks and Kafka or PubSub. Familiarity with the OpenAPI Specification (Swagger) and design-first workflows.
  • Developer experience: treat internal and external engineers as customers by defining documentation standards, SDKs, sandboxes, onboarding flows, and self-service key and token provisioning.
  • Lifecycle and versioning: define deprecation schedules, backward compatibility, breaking-change handling, and migration paths across API versions.
  • Governance and monetization: work with API gateways such as Kong, Apigee, and AWS API Gateway, plus rate limiting, throttling, role-based access control (RBAC), quota management, and consumption-based pricing.
