Description

The software behind autonomous vehicles, medical robots, and humanoids has to do more than work—it has to earn the trust of the people who depend on it. NVIDIA platforms help bring these machines into the world, and the correctness, security, and reliability of their underlying systems software can have real human consequences. Producing software at this level requires rare systems expertise, painstaking validation, and disciplined engineering across every subsystem. We are building a new kind of agentic engineering system to make that rigor repeatable: translating precise specifications into production-ready C/C++ and Rust software, continuously challenging and validating the result, and producing the evidence engineers need to understand why it is ready to ship.

NVIDIA is seeking a deeply technical engineering manager to lead the core team building this capability. You will combine AI agents, systems engineering, deterministic validation, security, and functional-safety practices into a production platform. You will prove it against real driver-development work, then scale what succeeds across Graphics, Camera, Multimedia, PVA, and other DRIVE OS teams.

What you will be doing:

Lead a high-impact core team building the future safety-ready agentic workflow for complex C/C++/Rust systems software and drivers.

Define the architecture and technical strategy for taking clear specifications through design, implementation, integration, testing, debugging, validation, review, and release.

Build agents and workflows that perform real systems-development work, including feature implementation, defect diagnosis and repair, regression analysis, refactoring, test development, performance optimization, and compatibility analysis.

Develop the harnesses, skills, tools, evaluations, deterministic validators, observability, and feedback loops that make agentic development dependable and continuously improving.

Create an engineering culture that combines ambitious invention with intellectual honesty, technical depth, measurable evidence, and an uncompromising quality bar.

What we need to see:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

10+ overall years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Proven track record of managing and delivering large-scale, complex software projects

Strong understanding of safety-critical system development and relevant industry standards (such as ISO 26262, DO-178C).

Outstanding problem-solving abilities and the capacity to perform well under pressure.

Effective communication and partnership skills, enabling productive work with different teams.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

Experience leading development of graphics, display, camera, multimedia, networking, storage, kernel, or other production driver software.

Experience building developer platforms, autonomous engineering systems, or multi-agent infrastructure adopted across multiple production software teams.

Significant contributions to agentic systems, systems software, developer tools, safety/security engineering, or open-source ecosystems.

Experience with NVIDIA DRIVE OS, QNX, automotive software, ISO 26262, ISO/SAE 21434, formal verification, or safety- and cybersecurity-evidence pipelines.

Strong understanding of the engineering realities of driver software, including concurrency, memory safety, ABI and platform boundaries, hardware/firmware interaction, debugging on target, performance, compatibility, CI, and release engineering.

With competitive salaries and a generous benefits package ( www.nvidiabenefits.com ), we are widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers. We have some of the most forward-thinking and hardworking people in the world working for us and, due to outstanding growth, our best-in-class engineering teams are rapidly growing. If you're a creative and autonomous engineer with a real passion for technology, we want to hear from you!

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 272,000 USD - 431,250 USD.
