Senior Manager, Software Development Engineering

This is a Santa Clara, CA role reporting to the Sr. Director, Software Engineering. You will help shape the platform over the next decade and rapidly scale the company Client Connector Portal service, working with the executive team and leading a high-performing engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the software development team as it adopts the AI Development Lifecycle, working closely with peer product and operations teams.
• Act as a thought leader and stay deeply involved in architecture and design decisions for the product.
• Oversee cloud operations, including upgrades, scalability work and troubleshooting.
• Move the team to full service ownership.
• Work with product management to define and carry out the product roadmap.

Requirements

• Foundational understanding of AI and ML technologies, with experience using, securing or positioning AI-driven solutions to improve results in your area.
• 7+ years building and leading teams that develop enterprise applications on the Java stack.
• 5+ years of cloud-based deployment and cloud operations experience.
• 3+ years working with hyperscalers such as AWS.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, with strong knowledge of Java, SSL and MySQL.
• Hands-on proficiency in Java, Python and shell scripting.
• Preferred: proven use of AI technologies and workflows to produce measurable operational efficiency.
• Preferred: current experience applying the AI Development Lifecycle (AIDLC) in software delivery.
• Preferred: in-depth knowledge of Kubernetes and microservices architectures.
• Preferred: US citizenship is a plus.

Conditions

Base pay range is $212,000 - $265,000 USD for this full-time role, excluding commission, bonus, equity (if applicable) and benefits. Final pay depends on factors such as skills, experience and education, and may fall above or below the range.

The range covers new hire target salaries across all US locations.

The role is based in Santa Clara, CA, with a hybrid working model.
