Senior/Lead Product Engineer II - Contacts Team

Description

The Contacts team owns how customers add, find and manage the people they pay, from start to finish.

That covers the platform protecting the tens of millions of bank accounts customers send money to, the search algorithms and local integrations such as Pix that help people find recipients, and the customer screens where users act on their counterparties.

The team is central to daily operations, so an outage here takes the whole company down.

The company moves and manages money around the world and is building a new network for it.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for the backend behind the recipient experience, as part of a self-directed team.
• Help scale the platform and build a leading recipient management product.

Requirements

• You have worked with relational and non-relational databases, including query optimisation and schema design.
• You have worked with large scale distributed systems.
• You have designed, deployed and maintained clean RESTful APIs.
• You have a product mindset and care about customer experience. You put customers first and use data to fix their pain points.
• You like working with others and bringing people together around a problem.
• You follow good coding practices, take part in code reviews and welcome open feedback.
• You write testable code and practise Test Driven Development.

Conditions

Engineers work in an agile way, closely alongside designers, the product manager and an analyst.

The team works across the Tallinn and London offices.

Benefits

• Starting salary of £111,000 to £145,000, plus RSUs of $75,000 on joining and a $37,500 annual refresher.
