Senior Frontend Engineer

This is a hands-on senior frontend role on the team building strategic applications for the company's Workspace platform. The role also carries people management responsibility.

You will work with product managers, UX designers and product owners, help shape architecture, and push engineering standards forward.

Responsibilities

• Build fast, scalable, customer-facing frontend applications in JavaScript, TypeScript and modern frameworks.
• Own features from requirements analysis and technical design through to build, testing and release.
• Help modernise the frontend stack.
• Keep coding standards, testing practices and development automation at a high level.
• Turn business requirements into technical solutions with Product and UX teams.
• Work with backend, QA and DevOps teams so systems integrate cleanly and releases stay reliable.
• Improve reliability, performance, observability and scalability across applications.
• Track down and fix complex technical problems.
• Help refine tools, processes and engineering practice.
• Share knowledge that lifts engineering across the Workspace organisation.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field.
• Excellent skill in JavaScript, TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks, ideally around 7 years of experience.
• Experience with full-stack development using any modern backend framework or language.
• A proven record of delivering complex software products in Agile environments.
• A strong grasp of web performance, UI architecture and accessibility.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with stakeholders.
• Experience working in distributed, cross-functional engineering teams.
