This is a senior, customer-facing engineering role for hands-on builders. You will work with customers to build and move data and AI solutions into production.

You will own architecture and design decisions, and work with engineering, product and developer relations on long-term priorities.

The role is billable. You deliver projects to specification with strong customer empathy.

The forward deployed engineering team is hiring for several roles.

Responsibilities

• Deliver production-grade systems for customer projects, including reference architectures, custom applications, data ingestion and ML/AI model integration.
• Lead end-to-end design, build and deployment of big data and AI applications for strategic customers on large projects.
• Scope technical delivery with engagement managers, using input from the customer.
• Guide customers on architecture and design, and build or implement projects that help them understand, evaluate and adopt the platform.
• Make architecture and design decisions that keep solutions secure and scalable, and that fit customer needs and platform best practices.
• Coordinate with the internal technical team, project manager, architect and customer team so technical work meets customer needs.
• Pass product and implementation feedback to engineering and customer support, and help speed up fixes for engagement issues.
• Embed with customer teams and engage stakeholders from individual contributors to executives.
• Build reusable accelerators, frameworks and practices that scale across accounts and inform the product roadmap.

Requirements

• Background in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering and full stack development.
• Ability to write code in Python, Scala, JavaScript or TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
• Working knowledge of two or more major clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP), with expertise in at least one.
• Deep experience with distributed computing on Apache Spark, including its runtime internals.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Working knowledge of MLOps, ML and AI models, and AI APIs.
• Experience designing and deploying performant, production end-to-end data architectures and applications that combine pipelines, ML/AI models and user-facing interfaces.
• Experience delivering technical projects: managing scope, timelines and measurable outcomes, and turning complex concepts into actionable solutions.
• Strong documentation and whiteboarding skills.
• Experience with enterprise clients, managing conflicts across a broad range of stakeholders.
• Commitment to building technical skills, with curiosity, adaptability and eagerness to explore new technologies that support deploying and integrating solutions for customer projects.
• The company Certification is an advantage.
