Senior Flutter Engineer

Description

The team is building digital play experiences for LEGO products, and this role focuses on making strong mobile engineering a shared capability across the portfolio instead of solving it app by app.

You will shape architecture, raise development practices, and support both modern cross-platform apps and legacy ones, so the team can move faster and ship with confidence.

The work supports the company's goal of delivering high-quality digital play experiences for children and families.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cross-platform mobile apps for LEGO consumers.
• Make the main calls on app architecture, code structure, and platform direction, with an eye on long-term scalability and maintenance.
• Work closely with UI/UX designers to create polished user experiences with strong attention to quality, usability, and visual detail.
• Set and uphold high standards for code quality, testing, automation, release handling, and app reliability.
• Work with QA and Consumer Service to find problems, improve performance, and raise customer satisfaction across several products.
• Coach other engineers on architecture, scalable practices, and modern cross-platform tools and frameworks.

Requirements

• Hands-on production experience with Flutter and Dart, with firm opinions on how to use them well.
• Deep software engineering fundamentals, including architecture, object-oriented design, testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
• A track record of designing scalable, maintainable architecture for consumer-facing mobile apps.
• Experience maintaining legacy codebases and modernizing them without losing stability or compatibility.
• Ability to work well across engineering, QA, design, and product to deliver high-quality user experiences.
• Solid knowledge of code quality, automated testing, CI/CD, and mobile release processes.
• Significant software engineering experience, including substantial work on mobile or cross-platform consumer apps.

Conditions

You will be assigned a primary workplace, which is an office, store, or factory.
