Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Description

The company develops embedded control software for vehicles, and this role leads software work across its vehicle systems and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Build software across the full lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design through coding, defect support and production release.
• Lead cross-functional teams that design, create and deliver embedded controls software for the HWIO, BSW, Complex Drivers, SUMs and other infrastructure layers.
• Write, implement and debug embedded C code.
• Test and show software functionality and readiness on prototype benches.
• Write requirements for each design and link them to test cases that prove the software works.
• Use automated test tools in build environments and on benches.
• Keep solutions common across all software the company owns.
• Work with the Systems, Safety, Electrical Architecture, Cybersecurity, Software Defined Vehicle, Calibration and Vehicle Performance teams.
• Lead supplier meetings to develop micro, peripheral and ECU-specific solutions for new technology.
• Lead quality work, deciding whether restructuring would improve quality, maintainability or reuse.
• Support root cause analysis and debugging, and troubleshoot code to fix design flaws.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• 5 years as a Software Engineer, Embedded Software Engineer or a related role.
• 5 years of embedded software development.
• 5 years with IBM Synergy or other configuration management software.
• 5 years with embedded compilers, linkers and debugging tools, including Lauterbach, ETAS INCA, CANalyzer, oscilloscopes and general lab equipment.
• 5 years with Test Driven Development and Behavior Driven Development.
• 5 years developing AUTOSAR-compliant infrastructure and firmware.
• 5 years of code quality analysis and debugging, including test coverage and quality metrics.

Conditions

Hybrid schedule: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

You must be able to report to the local office.
