Senior DevOps Software Engineer - Zero Trust ICAM

Description

Join the DevOps and full-stack engineering group on the Zero Trust Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ZT ICAM) program, which serves Department of Defense customers.

You will help build, test, deploy, and keep improving an integrated enterprise solution that runs across varied environments.

You will learn from senior engineers, grow your Kubernetes and DevOps automation skills, and contribute to a current Zero Trust architecture.

Responsibilities

• Help build a deployment-ready pipeline for Linux and containerized systems, covering automated builds, tests, packaging, releases, deployment, and monitoring.
• Keep deployment setups consistent and repeatable, and write clear technical documentation for them.
• Build and improve front-end and back-end features on a web-based architecture, including cloud components where needed.
• Design and implement new interfaces, features, and code from user and customer needs.
• Support ICAM products and customer environments with integration work, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Extend repository schemas to hold new configurable data items.
• Help integrate Java-based ICAM components with Bash installation scripts, and answer customer integration questions.

Requirements

• Required: Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Required: Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a closely related technical field.
• Required: 12+ years of software engineering experience, or 16+ years without a degree.
• Required: 5+ years working in SIGINT, IA, or IT.
• Required: Foundational DevOps knowledge and hands-on Kubernetes experience.
• Desired: Strong Java development skills.
• Desired: Experience designing REST services and building ReactJS UI components.
• Desired: Background in UI and UX design, including Section 508 accessibility compliance.
• Desired: Hands-on work building, testing, integrating, and deploying Spring Boot apps in Docker containers.
• Desired: Working knowledge of Git, Maven, JSON, XML, and CI/CD pipeline development.
• Desired: Kubernetes operations experience and AWS services such as S3, EC2, and ECR.
• Desired: Experience with OAuth2 and OpenID Connect.
• Desired: Ability to write unit tests with JUnit or mock frameworks.
• Desired: Knowledge of PKI encryption and authentication.
• Desired: Proficiency with Bash scripting and Linux.
• Desired: AWS Professional or Specialty, or Microsoft Azure cloud certification.
• Desired: Clear written and verbal communication, including explaining architecture and design concepts.
• Desired: Ability to produce technical documentation such as wiki content, blogs, and XML/HTML artifacts.
• Desired: Strong organization and time management, with the ability to work independently and with little supervision.

Conditions

This is a full-time, regular position with no travel required.

The proposed salary range is $131,800 to $290,000.

Salary depends on several factors, including location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, prior experience, specific skills, education, and certifications.
