Senior Data Center Project Manager - Infrastructure

Description

You will lead senior project management on data center projects for a large financial services client.

Experience with critical facilities infrastructure, power distribution, delivery systems, interrupted power supply, and network and sustainability distribution is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage every phase of multiple real estate projects, from planning and design through construction, occupancy and closeout.
• Work with clients to build the scope, resource needs, cost estimates and budget, schedule and milestones, quality control plan, and risk register.
• Choose project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through a qualification process, run complex requests for proposals, evaluate bids, and recommend resources to clients.
• Lead the creation of a project charter and an integrated timeline.
• Keep all workstreams on schedule and make sure issues are resolved or escalated.
• Run regular status meetings for active and upcoming projects.
• Work with the team to design solutions and guide delivery through to completion.
• Bring advanced knowledge to find and build better methods for your own goals and the department's goals.
• Show deep expertise in your own discipline and solid knowledge of the other disciplines in the function.
• Coach others until they have strong expertise across most or all areas of the function.
• Set an example by living the company's RISE values. Anticipate objections and win over senior stakeholders whose interests differ.
• Affect customer, operational, project and service outcomes across multi-discipline teams, within functional policies that shape procedures.
• Help create new products, processes, standards and operating plans that support functional goals.
• Explain difficult, complex ideas clearly and persuade others.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is preferred, along with 8 to 10 years of relevant experience. Without a degree, a mix of experience and education will be considered.
• An innovative approach that creates methods beyond existing solutions.
• The ability to solve unusual problems with both standard and new solutions that have a wide business impact.
• Deep working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills and an advanced, questioning mindset.

Conditions

This is a remote role that includes travel to client sites.

Candidates based in the Twin Cities, Birmingham, Alabama, or Chicago, Illinois are ideal.

Central Time Zone is preferred, and you must be able to travel.

On-site requirements may change depending on client needs.

SOX control duties may apply and must be followed where relevant.
