The company is a growth invention firm that helps ambitious brands grow faster, working where technology and marketing meet.
This is a future opening, so the role may not be filled immediately.
Responsibilities
Build Adobe Workfront and Workfront Fusion solutions as the backend developer, and write AEM backend code too. You keep requests, reviews and approvals moving, and keep Workfront connected to AEM and the client's other tools.
You report into the Software Engineering practice in the US and work with a Tech Lead/Principal Software Engineer, the CMS (AEM) Architect, AEM engineers, QA and client stakeholders. You do not need to know all of Adobe from day one; solid engineering habits and real interest in how the Adobe products fit together matter more.
Take loosely defined problems, ask the right questions, plan and estimate them, then build, test, launch and support the result.
Configure Workfront around how clients actually work: templates, request queues, custom forms, approvals, proofing, access levels and reports.
Build Fusion integrations that hold up in production, linking Workfront with AEM, other Adobe products and third-party tools, with error handling that keeps them running.
Connect Workfront and AEM Assets using linked folders, metadata mapping and asset workflows so approved work reaches the DAM without manual chasing.
Write AEM backend code, including workflows, Sling Models, servlets, OSGi services and APIs that support the integration and other AEM work.
Find root causes by testing real use cases and working through logs, Fusion execution history and API responses until the cause is clear.
Support adoption by documenting decisions, writing simple guides for users and admins, and acting as the go-to Workfront contact for client teams.
Requirements
3+ years building backend systems or integrations, including work management or business process projects for organizations with 5,000+ employees.
2+ years hands-on with Adobe Workfront, including templates, custom forms, Workfront Fusion integrations and connecting Workfront to a DAM such as AEM Assets.
1+ year hands-on AEM backend development with Java, Sling, OSGi, Sling Models, servlets, workflows and Maven.
Adobe certified in Workfront and Workfront Fusion.
Proven work with REST and GraphQL APIs, JSON and authentication when connecting to outside services.
Hands-on use of GenAI productivity tools such as Gemini CLI or Claude.
Proven ability to turn a business process into a working solution and document it clearly. Examples are welcome.
Working knowledge of Git, pull requests, automated builds and testing practices.
Ability to take an unclear problem, research it independently, read logs and debug it.
Persistence to work through a problem alone and trace it across Workfront, Fusion, AEM and the systems between them.
Easy to work with: a strong communicator who takes direction, pushes back respectfully, speaks up when stuck and prefers simple solutions to overbuilding.
Nice to have: exposure to Workfront Planning, Frame.io, Creative Cloud for Enterprise, Marketo or AEP.
Nice to have: experience with AEM as a Cloud Service, Edge Delivery Services, the Universal Editor, App Builder or Cloud Manager.
Nice to have: you have delivered AEM websites or worked on an AEM migration.
Nice to have: Adobe certification in AEM Sites. AEM Assets certification is a plus.
Nice to have: experience guiding teams through change or running user training.
Nice to have: hands-on use of GenAI tools such as Gemini CLI, Claude Code or Codex in your workflow, with a drive to push them further to speed up team delivery.
Nice to have: a practical grasp of core LLM concepts and the judgment to spot where AI adds real value.
Success looks like client teams using what you build, requests moving to approved AEM assets without workarounds, your Fusion scenarios and AEM code running reliably in production, teammates able to read and extend your work, you explaining how your work behaves and what it affects, and you taking on larger, messier problems over time.
