Description

The company makes a wearable ring and companion app that help users track readiness, activity, and sleep quality, and it is growing quickly.

The Business Systems team is hiring a senior engineer to raise the quality and scalability of custom solutions in the company's NetSuite environment.

This is a hands-on development role for someone who weighs why a solution works as much as whether it gets shipped.

The NetSuite setup is advanced and changes fast, with frequent deployments across Workato, Subscription Billing, 3PL partners, payment processors, and enterprise service APIs, among others.

You will work closely with business analysts in Finance and Supply Chain to build solutions that support new core business capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, write up, and carry out NetSuite development work within an agile process tracked in Jira.
  • Write SuiteScript code and designs that follow established software engineering practices, favoring root-cause fixes over narrow patches that hide symptoms.
  • Build unit, integration, and regression tests for critical customizations and integrations as a normal part of every delivery, and help set a team Definition of Done that requires test coverage.
  • Use AI-assisted and agentic development tools to speed up SuiteScript, integration, and test work, starting from specs, architecture docs, and constraints so generated code stays consistent, reviewable, and maintainable.
  • Help define team rules for when and how AI-assisted changes ship, including the change-management evidence needed for SOX and ITGC controls.
  • Write reusable material such as architecture decision records, coding standards, and integration docs that helps engineers and AI tools work across the NetSuite codebase.
  • Work with the NetSuite Administrator to review and govern roles, permissions, workflows, and bundle usage, so every change is documented, reversible, and tracked.
  • Help develop, design, and support scalable integrations between NetSuite and other business systems.
  • Work with NetSuite users in Supply Chain & Logistics, Financial Systems, and Member Experience to turn their requirements into durable solutions.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of professional experience as a business systems engineer, business systems developer, or in a similar technical role.
  • At least 4 years of NetSuite development, administration, or both.
  • Experience working in an Agile methodology and a task management system.
  • Hands-on work with NetSuite script types such as User Event, Client, Map/Reduce, Suitelet, and RESTlet.
  • Experience writing automated tests in any language or framework.
  • Daily hands-on use of AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot, with good judgment on when to trust, verify, or reject their output.
  • Knowledge of core business processes such as Order to Cash and Procure to Pay, plus basic accounting principles.
  • Extensive integration experience with iPaaS, APIs, or direct point-to-point connections, and a solid grasp of authentication methods.
  • Comfortable with NetSuite's configuration and admin layer, including roles, permissions, and saved searches, enough to work well with a dedicated Administrator.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking, plus excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the judgment to push back on scope or timelines when a proposed fix will not hold up.

Conditions

This is a remote role based in the US.

Pay follows a market-based approach that may vary by location. US locations are grouped into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that area.

Region 2: $158,000 to $187,000.

Region 3: $147,000 to $174,000.

A recruiter will confirm your region based on your US location.
