Senior AI Engineer

Description

The Reusable AI team sits within the AI Factory program and builds scalable agentic, AI and API solutions. The team gives data scientists reusable tools and services that support various internal initiatives.

The role is based in the Warsaw downtown office. You will be the technical lead for the Reusable AI team, working within the Senior AI Engineering community as a senior engineer.

Responsibilities

• Make the technical and architectural calls for the team, including whether work goes into services or reusable components and how outside contributions are handled.
• Work closely with the project manager to understand user needs and keep stakeholders communicating so solutions meet business requirements.
• Oversee the build and infrastructure of AI services, such as a translation service, and give data scientists templates that speed up creating AI processing pipelines.
• Work with the IPA team to make good use of its API backend, and with the GenAI team to integrate and consolidate inherited services for better functionality.
• Estimate the technical capacity each project needs and make sure people and skills match the demand.
• Keep the team's products economically sustainable by judging cost-effectiveness and long-term viability.
• Set up metrics that track product adoption and use the insights to decide what to improve and where to focus next.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions so deployments run smoothly and code quality stays high.
• Write and maintain robust Python for algorithmic processing, AI features and ETL pipelines on cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure ML, Azure Databricks, Google Vertex AI, Google Cloud Run, Azure Kubernetes Service and Azure Container Apps.
• Make sure software meets the network, firewall and security rules of the P&G cloud environment, protecting data and operations.
• Design creative code solutions to hard problems and run regular team discussions that encourage collaboration.
• Work with infrastructure and cloud teams so the software fits the limits of the cloud setup in use.
• Partner with the Customer Solutions Engineering team to build a user experience that is easy to use and gives AI Factory users real value.
• Take part in a lightweight SCRUM team and work with other teams and external partners under the Scaled Agile Framework to stay agile.

Requirements

• Very strong Python development skills.
• Knowledge of at least one cloud environment: Azure, GCP or AWS.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD processes. Experience with GitHub is not required.
• Hands-on experience with test-driven development.
• Experience using Docker.
• Experience with Kubernetes as an application developer is a plus.
