Description

The company is a Montreal-based tech company founded in 2006. It builds two product lines: the company Agent, its newest solution for making managers more effective, and ShareGate, a leading solution for Microsoft 365 migration and governance used by more than 15,000 companies worldwide.

The engineering team already ships more than twice as fast using AI, and the company is now extending AI agents beyond code to briefs, specs, design, launch, and measurement. The principle is that agents do the work and people make the decisions. The company is still exploring the technical possibilities, and this is an early stage.

You will join the Product Ops team, a small group serving Product Managers across both product lines. The team owns tracking, product data quality, and analytics. You will work daily with that team, with the AI-Software Development Life Cycle team that already automates software delivery, and with Product Managers on both lines. You will also work with the Senior AI Developer on the Data team to share patterns and tooling.

The vision is set and a proof of concept in Slack is underway. Over the next 6 to 12 months you will tackle questions such as how an agent can turn an idea into a brief a Product Manager approves without rewriting, how specialized agents can pass context without losing it or driving up costs, and how to decide an agent is reliable enough to remove a gate. The team uses AI every day, decides quickly, and ships in iterations.

Responsibilities

  • Ship the first production agents with Product Managers, starting with brief creation and the handoff from Product Management to design, then extend them across the rest of the product lifecycle.
  • Shape shared architecture and standards for orchestration, skills, memory, evals, and guardrails so both product lines run on the same foundation.
  • Own production quality of these agents, building in observability, testing, security, and cost from the start, with human approval at every gate.
  • Co-design with Product Managers by learning how they work, reusing what they have already automated, and shipping small iterations they can test and adopt.
  • Measure time saved, time from customer signal to shipped decision, and cost per agent and per feature, and cut whatever does not add value.
  • Share your agent development practices so the team can build, run, and improve agents independently.

Requirements

  • Strong production engineering skills across the full agent development lifecycle.
  • Hands-on experience designing and shipping multi-agent systems to production, covering orchestration, tools, context, and memory, integrated with tools such as Slack, Atlassian, and MCP.
  • Experience instrumenting and evaluating non-deterministic systems through evals, observability, regression testing, and cost tracking.
  • Sound architectural judgment on reliability, security, and cost, including which model suits which job, and the confidence to form and defend a technical view.
  • Experience building components or tooling that other people adopt.
  • Real product sense: an understanding of how a Product Manager works, and a habit of building with users rather than for them.
  • A preference for building as a team and helping people change how they work by sharing your practices.
  • A builder mindset: you own what you ship, you are comfortable with ambiguity in an early-stage project, and you use AI-assisted development tools daily and with a critical eye.
  • Bonus: product management experience, or experience on a B2B SaaS, HR, or IT product.
