Description

The company's Global Information Security Team is based at the HQ in Nootdorp and is hiring a Manager Security Operations to shape and grow the global Security Operations function.

You will balance strategic goals with day-to-day operational quality, working closely with senior stakeholders to strengthen the company's security posture and resilience.

The role suits a security leader with strong technical knowledge, sound decision-making and stakeholder management skills, who can work in a complex international setting, reconcile differing interests, influence key decisions and turn security risks into clear business priorities.

If you enjoy building high-performing teams, driving continuous improvement and having impact across a global organisation, we would like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • You lead the global Security Operations team, making sure threats are detected and responded to quickly while protecting people, assets and information.
  • You advise senior stakeholders, turning security risks and operational problems into clear business priorities and decisions.
  • You own the managed SOC service and the technical rollout of security tooling such as EDR, SIEM, email filtering and other defensive platforms.
  • You lead the full incident response lifecycle and take charge during major incidents, coordinating people and decisions and keeping stakeholders informed.
  • You define, refine and maintain the processes, procedures, playbooks and workflows for alerting, escalation and incident handling.
  • You build and maintain a set of detection use cases that give the company early warning of relevant security events.
  • You drive ongoing hardening of the IT, cloud and OT landscape, working with infrastructure, platform and application teams so controls keep pace with new threats.
  • You own global vulnerability management across infrastructure, applications, cloud and workplace, prioritising fixes by risk, exploitability and business impact, and keeping the IT solution teams updated on remediation progress.
  • You run the security testing programme, covering penetration testing, code scanning, secure development support and red and purple team exercises, and turn the findings into lasting improvements.
  • You build strong working relationships across IT, OT, business functions and regional teams, keeping security goals aligned with operational realities and business priorities.
  • You give management clear visibility of emerging threats, operational risks, security performance and overall posture so they can make informed decisions.
  • You develop, mentor and coach team members, encouraging collaboration, accountability, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • You hold a BSc or MSc in Information Security, Computer Science or a relevant field, or have equivalent professional experience.
  • You have at least 7 years in information security, including at least 2 years managing or coordinating SOC or Security Operations teams.
  • You have a proven record of leading, mentoring and developing teams and building a culture of ownership, improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • You build strong relationships and handle complex stakeholder environments across technical and business functions.
  • You stay calm under pressure, make sound decisions with incomplete information, set clear priorities and communicate concisely in fast-moving situations.
  • You have hands-on experience with SIEM tools and a solid understanding of security monitoring, threat detection and incident response.
  • You stay calm, structured and effective during high-pressure situations or major incidents, taking ownership and coordinating stakeholders toward the best outcome.
  • You have a sound technical base across IT infrastructure, cloud environments and Operational Technology (OT).
  • You balance technical, operational and business considerations so that security outcomes support organisational objectives.
  • You have excellent written and spoken English.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, GCIR, GSOC, CDSA, OSDA, CCSP or similar are a plus, but a real commitment to continuous learning and professional development matters most.

Conditions

Full-time position based at the HQ in Nootdorp, with the option to work from home in line with your manager and company policies.

Gross monthly salary of €7,700 to €8,400, depending on your relevant experience, within the published salary range with room to grow in the role.
