SAP Solutions Architect

It manages 50% of the world's MIPS and is focused on mainframe modernization, working with a global community of experts who share knowledge openly.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture of SAP applications.
• Define how SAP applications and technical components are composed and interact to meet functional and non-functional needs, and select, define and document the SAP choices that best fit those requirements and constraints.
• Run viability assessments to find and resolve architectural weaknesses.
• Work with business stakeholders, project managers, developers and specialists to plan and oversee the delivery of applications.
• Apply your legacy systems and cloud architecture knowledge to find mainframe applications worth modernizing.
• Define, assess and prioritize modernization roadmaps, weighing cost and risk.
• Design software frameworks, systems and products that set standards for the industry, conceive system interfaces and business application prototypes, and fix framework design weaknesses.
• Give technical leadership to the application development team, run design and code reviews, and keep enterprise-wide application design standards consistent.
• Work with stakeholders to keep the architecture aligned with business requirements so the project reaches its goals.
• Create and maintain documentation covering software architecture, application design processes, component integration, testing guidelines and other key elements.

Requirements

• Architecture experience on large customer change and transformation projects with SAP.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP functionality and lines of business, including integration with other systems, and experience running SAP on hyperscalers.
• Experience with S/4 migrations (brownfield) or S/4 new implementations (greenfield).
• Preferred: SAP architecture certification.
• Preferred: prior hands-on work with SAP and SAP products.
• Preferred: experience with upgrades, integration, acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, migrations or carveouts.
• Preferred: a strong understanding of hyperscalers and the SAP RISE model.

Conditions

Full-time role. The base pay range in the U.S. is $143,640 to $273,000, the minimum and maximum target the company in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting.

Actual pay depends on factors permitted by law in the applicable jurisdiction, such as geography, job-related skills, education, experience, certifications, licenses, internal pay equity, and market and business considerations. Pay will never fall below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage.

Location-specific ranges: California (San Francisco Bay Area) $172,440 to $327,600; California (all other areas) $158,040 to $300,360; Colorado $143,640 to $273,000; Massachusetts and Virginia $143,640 to $300,360; New York City $172,440 to $327,600; Washington $158,040 to $300,360; Washington DC $158,040 to $300,360.

If this role is eligible for sales commission, you will join a sales commission plan instead of the annual discretionary bonus program.
