Research Scientist – Patient-Centered Outcomes & In-Trial Research

Description

The role is for a Research Scientist working in patient-centered outcomes and in-trial research, on a standard Monday to Friday schedule in the office.

You will act as an independent principal investigator. You will hand project management tasks to more junior scientists while overseeing and taking part in a large portfolio of projects. The role calls for original scientific thinking, work of high scientific quality, and substantial ownership of sales targets and client growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-quality studies and publish the results in peer-reviewed journals and present them at professional meetings.
• Give scientific direction to team members.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients.
• Make sure client deadlines are met.
• Keep each project within its contracted budget.

Requirements

• Hold a doctorate in a scientific field and have more than 3 to 5 years of experience in a relevant area, or hold a master's degree in a scientific field and have more than 5 to 7 years of experience in a relevant area.
• Be comfortable with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and have some familiarity with SAS or similar data analysis software.
• Have extensive hands-on knowledge of how research is carried out in practice.
• Write clearly and well, including scientific writing.
• Analyse problems carefully and solve them effectively.
• Manage, oversee or lead project tasks on your own, and delegate them effectively to the project team.
• Manage client relationships with skill.
• Work well in a team and handle several tasks at once efficiently.
• Know the relevant regulatory requirements and guidelines.
• Understand the pharmaceutical industry.
• Provide oversight, management and mentoring to junior staff.
• Build positive, collegial and productive relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Communicate excellently in writing and speaking, across scientific, professional and consulting settings.
• Manage your time and logistics well enough to stay effective in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
