Description

This is a hybrid role: you will work from an HPE office on average 2 days per week.

The role is a Project Manager for Client Management in HPE Networking, within Customer Experience and Client Management. You will report to the Business Ops Lead and run end-to-end orchestration for Mega Account initiatives, starting with Oracle and future Mega Accounts under the governance model being set up.

You will work with project manager representatives in every participating organization to track workstreams, milestones, dependencies, risks and mitigation plans, keeping execution aligned across the wider organization.

You will combine all of this into one view for Client Management, supporting governance, executive reporting, proactive risk handling and quick escalation of issues that need leadership attention.

The role provides the dedicated cross-functional coordination that large, complex Mega Account work requires.

The company is a global edge-to-cloud company. It helps customers connect, protect, analyze and act on their data and applications, from edge to cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Lead an internal project so it meets scope, time, budget and quality goals through planning, control and management.
  • Manage corporate and third-party vendor work to plan, build and deliver solutions to internal problems.

  • Give leadership reliable financial forecasts.
  • Handle large, complex, high-risk projects across one or several regions, which may include detailed design of a sponsor's high-level concept.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders, including senior ones.
  • Lead a team that is generally more than 20 people across several countries, covering both internal and external resources.
  • Mentor project team members and help them build skills.
  • Provide detailed performance review input and development recommendations for team members.
  • Solve complex business problems using advanced subject matter knowledge, and contribute new ideas and methods.
  • Provide direction on process improvements and policy, and represent the organization to external clients.
  • Decide independently how to reach objectives, and provide expertise to functional and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • A first-level university degree.
  • 7+ years in project management or similar roles.
  • An in-depth understanding of the operational policies, processes and methods for project management used in the Services organization.
  • The ability to discuss project management methods with authority at most levels of depth.
  • Active participation in the Services PM Profession community.
  • PMP certification.
