Project Engineer, Foundations - Michels Construction, Inc.

Description

The company designs and builds foundations and industrial facilities, which give new projects a strong start. The finished work is mostly out of sight but essential.

The team is family owned and operated and is part of a larger family of companies that includes one of North America's largest energy and infrastructure contractors. The company works with dynamic, growing industries.

Responsibilities

• Support the crew on site each day and make sure they have what they need.
• Complete all required project documentation and record entries.
• Plan the coming days and weeks so the crew and project stay on track.
• Work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents, keeping clear communication with both.
• Act as a key team member supporting whatever the project needs to finish successfully.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field, plus 2+ years of related construction experience. Equivalent combined education and experience is accepted.
• Industrial or civil background preferred.
• Valid driver's license for the vehicle types you may drive, with an acceptable driving record.
• You handle fast-paced work with tight deadlines and enjoy new challenges and changing technology.
• You pay close attention to detail and communicate well in writing and in person.
• You enjoy working with teammates and want your effort to be recognised.

Conditions

Extensive travel of 50-75% is required.

Expected base salary is $68,000 - $88,000 USD. Figures may vary by location, and final pay depends on skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
