Program Manager

Description

The company is a global provider of business payments and cash management, with over 35 years in the field and more than $16 trillion in payments moved each year.

The team is hiring a Program Manager to lead delivery of complex work that spans Product, Technology, other internal functions, customers and partners.

Responsibilities

• Plan, run and deliver complex cross-functional programs and projects, such as customer deployments, migrations, product end-of-life work and revenue-growth initiatives.
• Set the scope, success measures, deliverables, timelines and governance for each program or project.
• Keep work moving by spotting risks, issues and dependencies early and putting clear mitigation plans in place.
• Improve processes, tools and reporting practices on an ongoing basis.
• Set up governance such as steering committees, working groups, roadmap reviews and checkpoints to keep teams aligned and accountable.
• Define how cross-functional teams communicate and meet, making clear who owns what, what gets decided and what outcomes are expected.
• Track program and project performance, and produce clear insights and materials that support decisions, transparency and timely escalation.
• Lead retrospectives on programs and projects to capture lessons learned and build them into future work.
• Help Product teams with program and project administration when needed.
• Organize and run stakeholder and product initiative meetings.
• Lead change management so new processes, technologies and product capabilities are adopted successfully.

Requirements

• Lead and collaborate across cross-functional teams, driving delivery and holding people accountable.
• Build strong relationships, negotiate priorities and influence decisions at every level of leadership.
• Manage several programs or projects at once in a fast-paced setting, reshuffling priorities as business needs shift.
• Understand project and program management methods such as Waterfall, Agile and hybrid approaches.
• Plan and organize well, with attention to detail, and produce clear documents, reports and communication materials.
• Understand the product development lifecycle and agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
• Interpret data, draw insights and explain them to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Communicate well in writing and speech, adapting to technical and non-technical listeners.
• Present with confidence to senior leaders and executives, with a track record of doing so.
• Use standard tools such as JIRA, Confluence and MS Office/365 with proficiency.
• Have a proven record of working effectively across all levels and functions of an organization.
• Have a track record of delivering results in a matrixed, fast-paced environment.
• Experience with SaaS or cloud-based products is an advantage.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3 to 5 years or more of hands-on program or project management experience.
