Description

The team runs complex programs and this internship supports that work day to day, alongside senior leaders and cross-functional colleagues. You will help with planning, cost and schedule tracking, risk management and stakeholder communication.

You will build hands-on experience in an international setting and sharpen your skills in project coordination, reporting, data analysis and teamwork. You will also take ownership of clearly assigned operational tasks and recurring deliverables. You will start with guidance from experienced colleagues and gain independence over time.

This is an extracurricular internship in Program Management.

Responsibilities

  • Help the Program Manager and Senior Program Manager plan, coordinate and monitor assigned programs across their full lifecycle, keeping milestones, deliverables and priorities aligned.
  • Keep key program data current, including schedules, costs, risks, opportunities, dashboards and action trackers, making sure the data is accurate and open items get followed up on time.
  • Support planning and cost control, including upkeep of the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS). Work with Functional Planners on actuals, forecasts, variances, the monthly Estimate to Complete (ETC) and budget monitoring.
  • Prepare reviews, operating cadences and useful metrics that support performance analysis, program governance and decisions. This includes help with Earned Value Management (EVM) and Contract Margin Reviews.
  • Work with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain and Finance to track deliverables and help resolve issues.
  • Follow up with suppliers, maintain the Risk and Opportunity Register for your assigned scope, track mitigation actions, and prepare presentations and management updates for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree in Engineering, Management Engineering, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • A strong interest in program management, project planning, cost control and business operations.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent written and spoken Italian and English.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills, with close attention to detail and the ability to juggle several priorities.
  • Basic knowledge of project management or finance is a plus.
  • Occasional business travel may be needed.
  • A work visa that meets local regulations is required.

Conditions

Your place of work and the internship are subject to a work visa that complies with local rules.
