Description

Wonderskin is a fast-growing beauty brand redefining long-wear makeup through innovation, performance and a “lifeproof” philosophy. Best known for our proprietary Wonder Blading technology and cutting-edge formulas, we make products built to keep up with real life: bold colour, lasting wear, and confidence that doesn’t fade.

Responsibilities

  • Wonderskin is built on products people can't help but talk about. As Product Marketing Manager, you will make sure we know why they matter, who they’re for, and how to explain them better than anyone else in the category.
  • You will own the story behind each product, from the market insights that inform what we build to the claims that win over our consumer. Working closely with our Brand, Product and Innovation, Creative, Social, E-commerce and Retail, you’ll turn consumer and market insight into sharp positioning, and make sure every touchpoint tells a clear, consistent, market-led story.
  • Competitor and market analysis
  • Run ongoing competitive tracking across beauty and skincare: new launches, pricing, claims, positioning, retailer placement and social conversation
  • Produce regular competitor and category reports with clear "so what" recommendations, not just data
  • Identify white space, emerging trends and threats early, and flag them to Brand and Product
  • Monitor retailer and marketplace performance (e.g. Sephora, Ulta, Amazon, DTC) to understand where we win and lose against competitors
  • Consumer insight
  • Synthesise customer reviews, social listening, surveys and community feedback into actionable insights
  • Build and maintain a clear understanding of our core audiences, their needs and the language they use
  • Commission or run lightweight research (surveys, concept tests, messaging tests) to validate positioning
  • Product story and positioning
  • Work alongside the brand, product and marketing team to develop positioning, key messages and proof points for every product and range
  • Help shape product narrative: what it is, who it's for, why it's different and why people should believe us
  • Create and maintain messaging frameworks, product claims guidance, and a single source of truth for product information
  • Work alongside the senior brand manager and copywriter, to ensure all product messaging is customer-first, stays on-brand and is aligned with our brand voice
  • Product launches
  • Help build new product launch briefs for the creative team, working alongside the innovation and brand teams, to stick to timelines. Then coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects
  • Help oversee the packaging process to ensure that not only is packaging consumer-centric but conveys the right and correct messaging
  • Contribute to go-to-market and planning for new launches and relaunches, from pre-launch through post-launch review
  • Prepare retailer-facing and internal launch materials, including sell-in decks, product one-pagers and training content
  • Product lifecycle and portfolio
  • Partner with the innovation team on the pipeline, offering input on consumer need, competitive gaps and commercial potential
  • Contribute to range strategy, pricing and packaging perspectives and hero-product prioritisation
  • Recommend how to refresh, reposition or retire products based on performance and market shifts
  • Enablement and collaboration
  • Equip the copy and creative team with the briefs and information needed to tell the product story consistently
  • Help brief creative, copy and content teams with clear insight-led direction on new product launches to enable them to plan for their channels
  • Support the education team to help train customer service, retail partners and sales teams on product knowledge and key product messages
  • Work with Regulatory, Legal and Compliance team to ensure claims are substantiated and that we are not at risk
  • Performance and reporting
  • Track how messaging and launches perform across channels and feed learnings back into the strategy
  • Report on product, competitor and campaign performance to Brand and senior leadership

Requirements

  • Essential
  • 6+ years in product marketing or category marketing, ideally in beauty, skincare or personal
  • Proven experience launching products and building positioning or messaging frameworks that deliver commercial success
  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable turning data and research into clear recommendations
  • Excellent writer who can make complex product benefits simple and desirable
  • Skilled at working across teams and influencing without direct authority
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple launches and deadlines at once
  • Experience in DTC beauty brands brands
  • Familiarity with social listening, review analysis and competitive intelligence tools
  • Understanding of beauty claims, regulations and substantiation
  • Experience running consumer research or testing
  • A genuine passion for beauty and how people use it
  • What success looks like
  • First 30 days: Immersed in our products, customers and brand. Audit of existing messaging and competitor landscape.
  • First 90 days: Competitor tracking and reporting rhythm in place. Messaging frameworks documented for core products. Owning an upcoming launch.
  • First 12 months: A clear, differentiated product story across the range, launches delivered to plan with measurable results and Brand and Product relying on you for market and consumer insight.
  • Our Commitment to You
  • At Wonderskin, we are committed to building a team that reflects the diversity of the world we live in. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or family status.
  • We believe diverse perspectives make us a stronger, more creative team, and we are committed to creating an environment where everyone feels valued and can do their best work.
  • Don't meet every single requirement? That's okay, we didn't write this list expecting to find a perfect match. If you are excited about this role and can tick most of the boxes, we would love to hear from you. We hire for potential, attitude, and passion just as much as experience, so if Wonderskin feels like your kind of place, take the leap and apply.
