Description

The company is a vertical AI business of 50 people building an agentic operating system for the $2 trillion U.S. construction industry.

It serves over 1,000 customers, partners with more than 50 accounting firms, and has raised $26m from Emergence, a16z and other leading funds.

The platform has been built over four years and runs project accounting and operations for more than a thousand construction companies. The company is now moving upmarket into mid-market and enterprise firms that want agentic AI.

You will join the Head of Product and work day to day with a design and engineering team of about 25 to ship products from start to finish.

The team is building AI agents for back-office work that construction firms still do by hand, such as compliance document tracking, subcontractor payment workflows and field-to-office coordination.

The industry still runs largely on paper, email and phone calls, so each process the company manages produces data that helps it extend to new use cases.

The aim is to make the company the accounting platform of choice for mid-market and enterprise contractors as it grows from 1,000 to 10,000 customers.

Responsibilities

  • Own product initiatives from start to finish, judged by real-world results rather than output, timelines or shipped features.
  • Set the product vision and strategy, turning user needs, workflow complexity and business goals into a scalable roadmap.
  • Form a well-argued view of the core accounting features mid-market and enterprise construction finance teams need, including job costing, WIP, multi-entity support, revenue recognition and audit-ready controls, and turn it into a build plan.
  • Speak for customers by running discovery calls and reviewing support tickets, then writing clear problem statements instead of feature requests.
  • Build, launch and improve new capabilities from zero to one and from one to scale, keeping learning cycles short and execution high quality.
  • Keep design, engineering and go-to-market teams aligned and working toward the same goals.
  • Hold the platform to a high standard for execution, usability and consistency.
  • Define what counts as reliable enough to ship for new AI agents, and work with engineering on evaluation frameworks that measure and improve agent performance over time.

Requirements

  • Hands-on accounting experience at a construction company, including job costing, WIP schedules, retainage, AIA billing, committed costs and how contractors close their books.
  • Familiarity with mid-market and enterprise construction ERP systems such as Viewpoint, CMiC, Sage Intacct and Acumatica, and a clear sense of their gaps.
  • Ideally, 3-5 years as a product manager who has delivered complex technical products.
  • Experience building or launching AI-native or workflow automation products, with comfort reasoning about model behavior, edge cases and trade-offs.
  • Enough technical depth to work closely with engineers on tactical decisions and connect them to customer value.
  • A strong sense of ownership: you act as if the product is yours, move quickly when it matters and don't wait to be told what to do.

Conditions

Work Monday to Thursday in the Union Square office, which is an in-office requirement.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary plus meaningful equity.
  • Comprehensive health, dental and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) match and a flexible PTO policy.
  • A real say in the direction of a fast-scaling vertical AI startup.
  • Unlimited room for professional growth and leadership.
