Product Engineer - Internship

Description

You will join the Technical Department and work with an experienced product management team.

You will learn product management, water treatment technology, product development and the full product life cycle in an international setting.

The team sits in a business unit that serves municipal and industrial customers across water, waste and energy management. The business operates worldwide, with manufacturing and logistics workshops and supply chain platforms in Europe and China.

The wider group employs about 220,000 people.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, design, standardization and ongoing improvement of skid-mounted water treatment units, based on market requirements.
• Help the Product Management team review product requirements and find possible improvements.
• Work with the Engineering, C&I, CAD, Customer Service and Procurement teams on product updates and changes.
• Help prepare and maintain Bills of Materials, technical specifications and product documentation.
• Help prepare and update technical and commercial documents for different product lines.
• Support research into customer expectations, market trends and supplier innovations.
• Help the workshop prepare technical information for making and improving standard products.
• Support the sizing and preliminary design of pre-engineered systems during tender and execution.
• Help the Business Development team prepare product definitions, specifications and technical information for Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes.
• Support Business Units worldwide with the sale, installation and operation of standard products.
• Learn product life-cycle management, cross-functional work and how the Technical Department's methods fit within the Quality Management System.
• By the end, you will have practical knowledge of product management, technical documentation, water treatment systems, customer and market needs, and working with multidisciplinary, international teams.

Requirements

• You are currently working toward an engineering degree.
• You can sign an internship collaboration agreement with the university where you study.
• You have a genuine interest in water treatment technology and product management.
• You are fluent in English and Spanish, at a minimum C1 level in both. This is essential.
• You have strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• You are proactive, collaborative and keen to learn within an experienced international team.
• A Master's degree in engineering, water treatment or a related field, in progress, would be highly valued.
• Basic knowledge of industrial water treatment processes, such as reverse osmosis, CEDI and filtration, would be an advantage.

Conditions

The internship runs under a collaboration agreement between the company and your university.
