Product Designer

Description

The company builds full-stack React components and hooks that handle user and organization management flows for developers, including sign-up, sign-in, user profile, and organization APIs.

The team is globally distributed and focused on developer experience. The Dashboard is where developers configure these components and manage their app's users.

You will join the company Design team alongside Visual Designers, UI Engineers, and other Product Designers to work on the company Dashboard, the core product.

Responsibilities

• Put developer experience first while building a deeper understanding of the business needs behind user management.
• Aim for customer delight, flexibility, and ease of use in a complex, technical domain.
• Design new features in close collaboration with Product, Design, and Engineering, from ideation through implementation.
• Research the technology and customer needs behind each release, and develop a solid understanding of the problems being solved.
• Create flows and interactions that organize complex information, from a single component to a multi-page view.
• Work with the UI Engineering team to turn your Figma frames into finished product, holding the quality bar yourself.
• Help grow the company Design visual language, component library, accessibility practices, design system, and design processes.

Requirements

• Senior (or above) Product Designer with experience in authentication, user management, or developer tools.
• Passionate about craft, and comfortable pushing Engineers toward ambitious experiences while holding yourself to the same standard.
• Deep understanding of designing interactive software for the web. Writing production-ready front-end code is not required, but it is a strong plus.
• Iterative mindset that favors shipping and improving over waiting for perfection, and that suits the pace of a growing startup.
• Self-directed: you look for hard problems to solve rather than waiting for tasks, and you make good use of the autonomy you are given.
• Based in the Americas, within 3 hours of U.S. Mountain Time (MDT, UTC−06:00). Product Design currently spans UTC+1 to UTC+5:30.
