Description

The company is a global media and entertainment business with three segments: Studios, Direct-to-Consumer, and TV Media.

The New Business team builds standalone products beyond news that add value for users and support the subscription business.

This is a senior individual contributor role where you help lead design on high-impact, strategically complex initiatives tied to the company's future.

The team wants someone who can work through uncertainty and who brings deep experience designing user-centered experiences across several platforms and channels.

Responsibilities

  • Take designs through every stage, from discovery and ideation to wireframes, prototypes, visual design, testing, and handoff for build.
  • Own smaller standalone features, or contribute to larger product efforts within new New Business experiences.
  • Produce the right design artifacts for each project, such as user flows, wireframes, prototypes, visual designs, and presentation decks.
  • Join research and discovery work to learn about user needs, business goals, and market openings.
  • Work closely with product, engineering, research, editorial, growth, and analytics partners to shape effective experiences.
  • Explain your design choices, reasoning, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Take part in workshops, brainstorms, and design critiques.
  • Apply existing design systems, patterns, and brand guidelines, and point out where they could be improved.
  • Refine solutions using feedback, usability results, experiment outcomes, and business data.
  • Help test and validate designs, and turn what you learn into better product experiences.
  • Build strong working relationships across teams and help keep the design culture collaborative.
  • Track industry trends, new technologies, and changing user expectations to help spark future product ideas.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience as a product designer building digital experiences for web, mobile, or connected devices.
  • A portfolio that shows strong UX and visual design and solutions to real user and business problems.
  • Proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools.
  • Solid grasp of user-centered design, interaction design, information architecture, and visual design basics.
  • Experience working within established design systems and applying brand standards consistently.
  • Familiarity with user research methods, usability testing, and iterative design.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional partners and build their feedback into your designs.
  • Basic knowledge of web and mobile technologies and what the platforms can do.
  • Experience with collaboration and project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • A bachelor's degree in Design or Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience on subscription, consumer-facing, or media products is a plus.

Conditions

Pay is listed at $83,993.00 to $155,987.00 per year.

Actual pay depends on factors such as location, external market data, internal equity, skills, experience, training, education, and performance.

Benefits

  • Possible annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards on top of base pay.
  • Health insurance, a wellness program, life and disability insurance, and a retirement savings plan.
  • Paid holidays, sick time, and vacation.
