You will provide technical leadership on the division's Emerging Capability programs, covering Development I&T and Capabilities I&T. The work includes test planning and execution, field testing and requirements verification across SILs, benches and program-specific hardware, plus mentoring early-career engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Plan integration and testing for complex systems, coordinating across every program area.

  • Write and run test plans, procedures and schedules that verify requirements, in labs and in the field.
  • Take part in I&T readiness reviews, design reviews and audits of I&T facilities.
  • Coordinate integrated testing, which may include environmental, reliability and occasional flight tests.
  • Check test requirements for completeness, analyze results and write detailed reports.
  • Use modeling and simulation to test units before all components are available, and to troubleshoot and repair failed units.
  • Work with a large team across multiple sites and facilities.

Requirements

  • Principal level: a STEM bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience; 3+ years if you also hold a Master's; 1+ year if you hold a PhD.
  • Sr. Principal level: a STEM bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience; 6+ years if you also hold a Master's; 4+ years if you hold a PhD.
  • For either level, 4 years of additional experience can be considered in place of the degree.
  • Hands-on experience integrating and testing complex hardware and software systems, preferably in defense or aerospace.
  • Experience leading lab or bench ownership, test campaigns, or requirements verification.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple teams and report technical status to management and customers.
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance, and the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP) before starting, is required.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Preferred: prior work on airborne, maritime, radar, EW or similar mission systems.
  • Preferred: significant experience integrating hardware, software and third-party components, including test planning, execution and analysis.
  • Preferred: experience working with varied technical and domain teams to capture test objectives and requirements.
  • Preferred: familiarity with configuration management tools and disciplined processes for complex test environments.
