Principal Engineer, Customer Quality

MEMS timing is used in more than 400 applications, including AI datacenters, automated driving, industrial and humanoid robots, wearables and IoT.

In this role you own customer interactions and act as the main contact for customers on quality and reliability matters. You investigate and resolve quality issues, communicate with customers and coordinate internal teams on corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead communication with customers on the results of complaint investigations, working with local FA and PE teams, including claim handling.
• Manage the customer relationship during quality issues and keep engineering and FA teams aligned globally.
• Prepare and submit customer documents such as product qualification and reliability reports, 8D reports and FA reports.
• Take part in customer quality activities, including RFIs and audits.
• Own PPAP preparation and drive it to a successful outcome and customer approval.
• Visit customers and their factory sites proactively or when requested.
• Lead cross-functional work that resolves customer issues and produces measurable gains on the customer scorecard.

Requirements

• Hold a minimum bachelor's degree in engineering, business, quality or a related discipline.
• Have a background in semiconductor manufacturing processes such as wafer fab, package assembly or test. This is required.
• Have at least 10 years of experience in customer, manufacturing or supplier quality in the semiconductor area.
• Knowledge of CMOS and MEMS devices is a plus.
• Be highly proficient in structured problem-solving methods such as 8D, fishbone analysis, 5-Why and Is/Is-Not analysis.
• Be competent with quality tools and process control methods such as APQP, control plans, FMEA, GD&T, MSA, PPAP and SPC.

Conditions

Pay depends on factors such as location, experience, education and training.

Base salary range: $148,320 - $203,940 USD.

Eligible for a quarterly bonus tied to achieving innovation goals.
