Principal Architect, IT Procurement

This role covers the enterprise procurement technology that supports the company's purchasing and supply operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and support procurement technology using Ariba Upstream and Downstream, SAP Procure to Pay, SAP MM, SAP IM-WM and MRP.
• Set and maintain the technical strategy and roadmap for procurement systems, aligned with business needs and enterprise architecture standards.
• Govern the procurement technology landscape using established industry methods, including SAP-based procure to pay platforms.
• Design and maintain integrations between procurement systems and finance, inventory and supply chain applications so data flows consistently and processes stay aligned.
• Build automation and optimisation within procurement workflows using RPA, artificial intelligence and chatbots.
• Turn functional requirements from business stakeholders and IT teams into technical designs and system configurations.
• Advise on solution architecture across several projects, and work with enterprise architects so procurement solutions fit company-wide frameworks and standard processes.
• Hold design authority and provide operational support, including enhancements, issue resolution and lifecycle management.
• Define and enforce enterprise software standards with detailed technical specifications.
• Support compliance requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls.

Requirements

• You hold a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field, followed by 10 years of progressive experience after graduation in this role or a related occupation.
• You have experience with SAP Ariba procurement solutions.
• You have experience with SAP Supplier Lifecycle and Performance (SLP).
• You have experience with SAP ECC.
• You have experience with SAP Procure to Pay (P2P), SAP Materials Management (MM), SAP Inventory and Warehouse Management (IM-WM) and OpenText VIM.
• You have experience integrating external solutions with Ariba, SAP ECC or S/4 HANA.
• You have experience with Procurement Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).
• You have experience with SAP Direct Procurement.
• You have experience with Ariba Network and supplier collaboration solutions.
• You have experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
• You have experience with robotic process automation (RPA) and with developing strategy and roadmaps for procurement solution platforms.
