Description

You will be an Oracle Application DBA on an integrated project team for an Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12 program serving a large multi-agency Department of War (DoW) effort.

The team sits in the company's Digital and Network Solutions line of business, a growing group where problem solving and clear communication matter. The work changes how government delivers software applications.

You will manage several Oracle RDBMS instances in a shared-service EBS R12 setup and may add instances as capacity planning and new government needs require.

You will keep production uptime at the required service levels across backup, recovery, refresh, performance tuning, and security.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose software and hardware faults through to resolution, and plan responses to outages that involve backups and restores.
  • Monitor system performance.
  • Create and test data backups.
  • Manage patching and distribution to block new threats while limiting impact on physical infrastructure.
  • Cleanse data, check data integrity, and apply access controls.
  • Configure, monitor, and tune databases.
  • Handle routine upkeep: defect analysis and fixes, space and storage, object management, physical database layout, rollback segments, and temporary space.
  • Oversee logs, alerts, access rights, roles, instance version control, new IDs, authorizations, audits, and account locking, unlocking, and revocation.
  • Monitor memory use, set database parameters, manage database resources, and balance I/O.
  • Keep systems healthy, secure, recoverable, and tuned at the application technical level.
  • Maintain schedules for Oracle critical upgrades and patching.
  • Support testing and fielding, sustainment, and development, migration, and integration work as needed.
  • Contribute to work plans for security analysis and recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, plus five years of related work that includes large-scale Oracle ERP support.
  • Hands-on use of WebLogic for the EBS R12.2 web tier and Oracle OEM12c to manage and monitor environments.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including migration support.
  • Must have installed and supported Oracle RAC, SuperCluster, R12.2, and 12c databases.
  • Experience implementing or migrating to Cloud Service Provider (CSP) environments.
  • Experience upgrading Oracle databases.
  • Should have working knowledge of DoD security standards and rules for databases, such as Oracle CPU patching, access management, direct grants, and database links.
  • Should have experience monitoring, managing, and testing security, including IAVAs, patches, and STIGs.
  • Must have designed and implemented single sign-on architecture for applications such as SOA and OBIEE, using tools including OAM and OID.
  • Hold DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, such as OCA WebLogic 11g SA, OCI Foundations 2020, or Security+ CE.
  • Prior Oracle EBS federal financial management experience supporting federal or DoD customers.

Conditions

This is a full-time, regular position with no travel required.

No security clearance is required to start, but you must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain an IT-I background investigation.

The salary range is $75,200-$158,100. It is the national average because the role can be worked in more than one location. Final pay depends on location, federal contract labor categories and wage rates, prior work experience, specific skills, education, and certifications.

Benefits

  • Flexible time off that lets you take the time you need.
  • Robust learning resources to support your career goals.
  • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits, including healthcare, wellness, financial, retirement, family support, continuing education, and time off.
