Description

The team sits within the company's Charles River Development unit, which joined the company in 2018 and builds enterprise investment management software for institutional investors, wealth managers and hedge funds.

The company launched its open front-to-back platform in 2019.

This role helps the team replace manual, repetitive governance and vulnerability management work with Agentic AI, Azure OpenAI, process optimization, orchestration frameworks and other engineering solutions.

You will work with architecture, engineering, cybersecurity, compliance, product, operations and governance colleagues to build processes that meet enterprise standards.

The company sees a clear need to automate manual work, simplify governance and operational workflows, and build intelligent tools that deliver measurable value. You will help build governance automation that is scalable, secure, governed and ready for production, and help teams adopt enterprise tools and platform features in a responsible way.

The ideal candidate enjoys emerging AI, cloud platforms, vulnerability management, secure software engineering, automation and process improvement, and wants to build systems that raise productivity, quality, security, control effectiveness and operational resilience.

Responsibilities

  • Find manual engineering, operational, governance, compliance and business processes that can be automated or streamlined.
  • Design and build AI-powered workflows using Agentic AI, Azure OpenAI, orchestration frameworks and enterprise automation tools.
  • Build automation pipelines that support engineering, cybersecurity, governance, audit, compliance, reporting and operations.
  • Add observability, monitoring, evaluation, performance measurement and operational controls to governance solutions.
  • Help teams across the company's units with governance work, including vulnerability management, lifecycle management, configuration management and patch management.
  • Create reusable patterns, libraries, accelerators and reference architectures for governance automation work.

Requirements

  • Take a practical engineering approach and care about automation, reliability, security and new ideas.
  • Turn business problems and manual processes into scalable solutions.
  • Stay curious about AI, vulnerability management, cloud platforms, agentic workflows and enterprise architecture.
  • Work well with architecture, engineering, cybersecurity, compliance, operations and financial management teams.
  • Analyze problems well, focus on operational efficiency, responsible resource use and cost control.
  • Document technical designs, governance requirements and operating processes clearly.
  • Drive your own learning in emerging AI, governance frameworks and optimization practices.
  • Preferred: a master's degree in a technical, engineering, software development, information systems, data science or analytical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: 7 to 9+ years in vulnerability management, security engineering, patch management, cloud engineering or a related field.
  • Preferred: hands-on experience running enterprise vulnerability management and patch management programs.
  • Preferred: strong experience with vulnerability assessment, remediation tracking, risk prioritization and the full vulnerability lifecycle.
  • Preferred: proficiency with Qualys VMDR, Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management, ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR) and Lansweeper or similar asset management platforms.
  • Preferred: strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Preferred: knowledge of security reporting and dashboard development.
  • Preferred: experience tracking risk metrics, remediation SLAs and vulnerability trends.
  • Preferred: experience with automation tools such as PowerShell and Power Automate.
  • Preferred: experience with CVE analysis and CVSS scoring.
  • Preferred: understanding of security hardening standards and secure configuration management.
  • Preferred: familiarity with cloud security concepts and enterprise security operations.
  • Preferred: strong understanding of security patching and remediation validation.
