Description

The company makes memory and storage products that help turn information into intelligence.

The team supports semiconductor manufacturing operations and the build-out of new facilities. Its work supports factory uptime, engineering productivity and safe, reliable operations.

This is an early-career role for an engineer who wants to learn quickly, enjoys hands-on work and wants a foundation in campus networking within large manufacturing sites.

You will provide onsite operational support for campus LAN and wireless infrastructure in manufacturing and office areas, covering hands-on deployment, configuration, monitoring and repair of network equipment. You will work to established standards while senior engineers guide you.

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite support for campus LAN and wireless infrastructure as a developing contributor under senior network engineers. Take in incidents, alarms and service requests, do first-line triage and escalate where needed.
  • Join on-call rotations with senior team members mentoring you.
  • Help install, configure and maintain campus switches, Wi-Fi access points, wireless LAN controllers and their software. Configure and troubleshoot switching features such as VLANs, trunks, access ports, port security, PoE and Spanning Tree Protocol, following existing standards and procedures.
  • Support wireless work by deploying access points, updating controller settings, troubleshooting RF issues and confirming coverage and connectivity.
  • Work in Cisco and Arista environments, configuring VLANs and taking part in day-to-day tasks involving EVPN/VXLAN and BGP. Senior engineers provide design direction.
  • Help run campus routing, including EIGRP. Learn how routes behave and trace adjacency problems and their operational effect.
  • Carry out approved changes during maintenance windows, such as switch installs, port activations, VLAN additions and wireless updates, after peer review.
  • Keep diagrams, port maps and runbooks accurate as onsite changes are made. Use monitoring and management tools to check network health, gather data and support root cause analysis.
  • Use AI-assisted tools, automation platforms and large language models to reduce manual work, improve service reliability and speed up problem resolution and infrastructure delivery.

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in cloud computing, network engineering or a related technical field.
  • Have 1-2 years of experience in network engineering, infrastructure support or a similar IT role.
  • Understand TCP/IP and Ethernet, VLANs and basic switching, campus routing basics such as EIGRP, and enterprise switching and wireless platforms for configuration, monitoring or support.
  • Have worked in onsite or operational IT settings such as manufacturing, industrial or campus environments.
  • Be comfortable working in communications rooms, data closets and industrial areas.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders and work in confined spaces when installation or repair requires it.
  • Preferred: exposure to enterprise routing and network architectures such as BGP, EVPN or VXLAN.
  • Preferred: familiarity with industrial or manufacturing networks, including OT or SCADA environments.
  • Preferred: CCNA or an equivalent certification, or active pursuit of one.
  • Preferred: a strong drive to learn, build technical skills and take on more responsibility over time.
  • Preferred: ability to follow documented procedures, communicate clearly and work well within a team.

Conditions

This is a fully onsite role with regular presence on campus, in communications rooms and in production areas.

Information on your right to work is linked from the original posting.

Benefits

  • A choice of medical, dental and vision plans in all locations, so you can pick the plans that suit your family's healthcare needs and budget.
  • Income protection if illness or injury keeps you from working.
  • Paid family leave.
  • Paid time off and paid holidays.
