Networking Technical Services Engineer

Description

You will join as a Senior Associate Networking Technical Services Systems Integration Specialist, a role for someone still building subject matter expertise.

You make sure client solution requirements are met within Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

You configure and install equipment and handle break/fix events.

The role also moves you toward associate and then professional level certification while you build business knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Own larger parts of installations and break/fix incidents of low to medium complexity across the project lifecycle.
• Lead problem resolution and troubleshooting through the project lifecycle.
• Pass complex problems on to the relevant third parties.
• Help write standard operating procedures for installations and fixes during operations handover.
• Keep project administration current, including time capture and updates to stakeholders.
• Give basic presentations to the customer's organization.
• Take direction from senior staff on relevant technologies, following specialization and best practice.
• Carry out other related tasks as required.

Requirements

• Develop project and administration skills.
• Build a growing understanding of technical design principles and compute layers.
• Build a working grasp of fundamental project and administration processes.

• Take a hands-on, proactive approach.
• Hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent in information technology, computing or a related field.
• Hold professional level certification in networking technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, F5, CCNP, JNCIP, ACMP and similar.
• Have moderate experience in technical implementation engineering for networking technologies.
• Have moderate experience engaging clients and giving presentations.
• Have moderate experience with networking technologies such as routing, switching, wireless, SDI distribution, and core and access layers.
• Have moderate experience in diagnosis and troubleshooting.
