Network Engineer III

Description

The company is hiring a Network Engineer III to work from Fort Meade, MD on intelligence systems.

The role supports the Know your Network Zero Trust Architecture capabilities and is a full time position.

Responsibilities

• Set up the Forward Networks tool to collect, organize and maintain the full Mission Island network inventory, network maps and related vulnerability data.
• Help bring that inventory into the High Side network enterprise model.
• Take part in network work from design through implementation, upkeep and upgrades of existing networks.
• Review designs, specifications and related documents.
• Turn communication system requirements into support for the distributed functions of a software engineering environment.

Requirements

• You understand network architecture well, including firewalls, routers, switches and protocols.
• You can work with configurations from several vendors, such as Cisco, Palo Alto and Juniper.
• You have Zero Trust experience, including system hardening and meeting customer Zero Trust compliance requirements.
• You have system administration experience on Red Hat Enterprise Linux or a similar platform.
• You can read system configuration files and confirm they load correctly into Forward Networks.
• You hold an IAT Level 3 certification.
• You have 12 years of experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
• You hold a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university, or 4 years of additional network engineering experience can be substituted for it.
• Desired: experience with Forward Networks, Redseal or another comparable network modeling tool.
• Desired: a networking certification such as CCNP, JNCIP, AWS Certified Advanced Networking or an equivalent.

Conditions

This is a regular, full time role with up to 10% local travel.

Minimum clearance required to start is TS/SCI with Polygraph.

The proposed salary range is $120,800 to $265,800.

Final pay depends on factors including location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant prior experience, specific skills, education and certifications.
